Cover Reveal, Subscribe by Email Revisited and Other Updates

I have another new release coming soon. The Maid of Dishonor, the second book in my Wedding Troubles Series. This one has the tropes of an arranged marriage and the wrong sister. It was a lot of fun to write.

I don’t have a release date, but it should be soon. But for now here is my shiny new cover for that story:

Subscribe by Email

If you recall, my subscribe by email was going away. I outlined the reasons in a post here. The main reason was that my own email address got booted for some unknown reason. There were other reasons, but honestly, this was the big one.

Right after I published that post, I saw that my email had been re-added to the list. I’m guessing it was some sort of glitch on the end of the provider. I suppose this could happen with any service. And like I said in my previous post about this, nothing is perfect.

I have searched and searched for a comparable service, but as of now, nothing is in my price range. I’ve thought about doing a regular newsletter, but honestly that seems redundant, as there is nothing I’d put in the newsletter that I wouldn’t post here on the blog. Also, right now I don’t have the time to keep researching other options because I’m trying to concentrate on writing stories.

So after much thought and research, I’m reinstating the subscribe forms with the same service I was using. This way, if someone wants an email notification for when I post something, they can. If more glitches pop up in the future, then I’ll change to something else, but for now, this will work just fine.

Other Updates

I know I mentioned in other posts last year that I wanted to do my own eBook conversion. I’ve been using Reedsy, which I like and recommend, but I prefer to do things offline. Plus, when I was ready to publish The Worst Man, it took Reedsy hours to get my manuscript into ePub because of a glitch on their end.

It was my intention to do it myself for that story, but. . . I got lazy.😪

I’m happy to say that after some research and experimenting with different apps that I have settled on something. So I’ll do the conversion for this next story myself. Then I hope to re-do my other published stories and update some things, like put in my new bio and links to my other stories, etc.

I also plan on updating a few of the covers of some of my stories.

This was all stuff I wanted to do last year, but never go to it. I’m really pushing myself to be more productive in my writing life this year. Which means I need to stop being lazy about everything.

So lots of stuff coming your way. Stay tuned.📺

Blogging Weekly to Stay Productive

What to talk about today? Honestly, I have nothing. So why am I here with a blog post if I have nothing? In trying to make goals for the year, I decided to be more active on here. I want to write and post more. Why? Because I enjoy doing this. Sometime ago, I began a blog under a different name with a different focus. My goal was to post weekly. I’d read somewhere that when doing an author blog, that was a good pace to go at. When I started that now neglected blog, that’s what I did. I sat down and wrote something, anything, once a week and posted it. To my surprise, I lasted longer at it than I thought I would. I think I had even picked a day to post. Maybe it was Monday or Wednesday? I don’t remember. I could check, but I can’t be bothered right now. It’s not really important. What is important is I’d stuck to the weekly blogging for some time and I enjoyed the heck out of it. In fact, if I’d became busy during the week and it came time to post something, I’d drop everything an...

New Release - Second Chance in Winter

Another new release! I'm so happy to finally get this story out. I would have had it out sooner, but being down over a week with the flu really put me behind on it. When I felt better, I was really happy to get back to it. Here it is - Second Chance in Winter. How did the man who did me wrong all those years ago end up looking hotter than sin? Even worse is my attraction to him is stronger now than ever. Claire After a humiliating experience in high school, I left the small town I grew up in behind for good. That is until I’m offered a job nearby and my dad would be disappointed if I didn’t stay with him. Everything is going great until I run into the man who helped humiliate me all those years ago. Logan is the last person I want to see. Ever. Except, he is even hotter now than he was in school. In fact, he is everything I could want in a man. I don’t want to be this attracted to him, but I am. Only I don’t think I could survive him breaking my heart again. Logan I didn...

Recovering From the Flu

If you read my last post, then you know I was getting all productive with things at long last. I’d even committed to doing a weekly blog post. Everything was great. I was excited. I was making progress daily. I . . . I came down with the flu. Yeah, so obviously no big blog post last week as I was on the couch too tired to do anything except sleep. I was also on target to get a new story out last week. None of that happened. The flu bug totally took me down. I am finally feeling better and trying to get back into things. In my part of the world, we went through extreme cold temperatures the last several days, which did nothing to help with my sudden stop in productivity. Right now I need to re-orient myself with where I was at on my up coming story and remind myself of what needs done yet. It’s just often a struggle to get back to work after being knocked down like I was. It has been some time since I contracted the flu this bad. I should have this story out before the end of this...
