I have started a blog post several times over the past couple of months, but honestly, I’m not sure what to say. The writing hasn’t been going well this year. This is obvious from my lack of publishing any new stories. Last year I published only two stories and was determined to do better this year. So far that hasn’t happened. Sigh. The year is not over, and there is still time. I think a lot of this has to do with things outside of the writing. While I don’t like talking about my private life, because, you know, it’s private, there are things that go on there. The main thing is I take care of an elderly family member, and there are some days I just feel so defeated. I’m not saying this for sympathy of any kind. There are people in this world who have it far worse than me. I mention this more for understanding. I guess that is the best way to put it.
