A Series of Wedding Troubles and Other Updates

I have exciting news. Or at least I think it is. I finally have a series underway. So far, the first story is drafted, and I’m heading into the final round of edits. The second story is coming together.

As of now, this will be a four-book series. I have tentatively titled this series: Wedding Troubles. These will be stand alone stories that revolve around a wedding theme.

The title of the series is subject to change, but as of now it is the best I can come up with, and I feel it fits the stories I’m writing.

The first story is titled, The Worst Man. You know, instead of the best man in the wedding, this guy, according to the heroine, is the worst man. Still keeping a play on words for weddings, the second story will be titled, The Maid of Dishonor.

I don’t yet have definite titles for stories 3 and 4, but I’ve been noodling things for those stories as well.

I’ve been putting a lot of work into these stories, and that’s why there has been little activity on here as of late.

Other Updates

I’m still working on updating the things I mentioned in an earlier post. I have a new bio that I feel is better than the others I’ve come up with, but I suppose that is subjective. Writing about myself in the third person really isn’t my thing.

I will start formatting updates to my previous stories soon. I haven’t forgotten about these things; it’s just that I’ve been busy working on these upcoming stories as of late. My goal is to write and publish on a more regular basis, and I feel I might actually get to that point at long last. It’s just taking a bit of time.

I still have a ton of work to do before I release the next story, but as of now I’m hoping to get The Worst Man out by the end of next week, around the 14th or 15th. If for some reason that doesn’t happen, then I will certainly get it out the following week after that. No matter what, it will be out before the end of this month.

Obviously, since I don’t have a timeline for the release of this story, I don’t have one for The Maid of Dishonor yet either. This is another thing I’m going to work on — getting a better timeline of release dates for my stories. As of now, I’ve been taking some time with these stories, hoping to produce better stories. These stories may also end up being longer than many of my previous titles.

Like I said, I’m really excited about these stories, and they have injected new life into my writing ambitions, which I needed. If you read my post Course Correcting a Creative Slump from last year, you know I struggled quite a bit with writing at all. That spilled over into this year after I finished Second Chance in Winter. The same cycle that I talked about in that blog post persisted. I’m hoping that this project will help me break this cycle. I’ve found I do better when I have story ideas waiting in the wings to be written.

After I finish this series, I have at least two more story ideas waiting to be written. So stay tuned for more things to come soon.

Blogging Weekly to Stay Productive

What to talk about today? Honestly, I have nothing. So why am I here with a blog post if I have nothing? In trying to make goals for the year, I decided to be more active on here. I want to write and post more. Why? Because I enjoy doing this. Sometime ago, I began a blog under a different name with a different focus. My goal was to post weekly. I’d read somewhere that when doing an author blog, that was a good pace to go at. When I started that now neglected blog, that’s what I did. I sat down and wrote something, anything, once a week and posted it. To my surprise, I lasted longer at it than I thought I would. I think I had even picked a day to post. Maybe it was Monday or Wednesday? I don’t remember. I could check, but I can’t be bothered right now. It’s not really important. What is important is I’d stuck to the weekly blogging for some time and I enjoyed the heck out of it. In fact, if I’d became busy during the week and it came time to post something, I’d drop everything an...

Things I've Been Working On

I have started to write a blog post several times over the past few weeks, or is it months now? Considering my last post was in February, I guess it has been months. It was past time to sit down and spew something out of my little grey matter and get it posted. Yes, yes, I know, at the start of the year I was going to do a weekly post. Declared it loud and proud on this little blog of mine. I even managed it for a short time. A very short time. Oh well. I’ll not talk about how life got in the way again and blah, blah, blah. Or how I got in my own way again and blah, blah, blah. Because if I don’t want to write about that boring drivel, I’m sure no one wants to read it either. So let’s just move on from all of that. While I haven’t been posting on here or gotten another story ready to publish, I have been busy with things related to all of this. In no particular order, here’s what I’ve been up to. Formatting Stories Back when I published my first story on Amazon, I formatted and u...

New Release - Second Chance in Winter

Another new release! I'm so happy to finally get this story out. I would have had it out sooner, but being down over a week with the flu really put me behind on it. When I felt better, I was really happy to get back to it. Here it is - Second Chance in Winter. How did the man who did me wrong all those years ago end up looking hotter than sin? Even worse is my attraction to him is stronger now than ever. Claire After a humiliating experience in high school, I left the small town I grew up in behind for good. That is until I’m offered a job nearby and my dad would be disappointed if I didn’t stay with him. Everything is going great until I run into the man who helped humiliate me all those years ago. Logan is the last person I want to see. Ever. Except, he is even hotter now than he was in school. In fact, he is everything I could want in a man. I don’t want to be this attracted to him, but I am. Only I don’t think I could survive him breaking my heart again. Logan I didn...
